Day 5
I am 5 days old and an amazing thing has happened.
I sleep and it's a good sleep. A natural sleep. A calm sleep.
My mummy and daddy come to say hello. They look at me. Something has changed. But what is it?
The clip on my nose has vanished during the night. I am breathing unaided. Completely unaided. Well apart from the caffeine. Yummmmmm. I think I will like coffee. Just like my daddy.
The serious medical people gather and look less serious. Take the machines away they say. he doesn't need them they say. Mummy cries.
It makes me cry. I sound like a little cat. 'Mew' I say. 'Mew'
It makes mummy cry. She loves me. Its my first cry.

All those wires out, what wonderful news! I know it's a long road ahead but little Boris is doing fantastically well, and he looks so gorgeous from the photos. It sounds like Mummy and Daddy are doing really well too. Take care! Char (from Essex!)
